Hi all! I recently discovered a new way to "play with myself" (pun intended), and I thought I'd share it with you... I'm just using a cheap digital delay pedal set to a long delay time and only one repeat. Once you get the delay time in your head, you just keep the rhythm and play along with the repeated parts like a sort of "call and response". Makes kind of a cool sound!

Cheers!

Nice stuff Isaac, shows you don't necessarily need that looper......( but jeez I still want one!). :~)

That was cool Isaac. I love the way you seem figure this stuff out:o)

It really sounds like your jamming with someone else.

Im getting a delay pedal at the end of the month, probably the Danelectro fab echo delay. Its really cheap and i only need it for a bit of slap back but having heard you play this i might need one with a longer delay setting:o)

Cool stuff.

I like that a lot. I've seen Golden Earing's singer do that with his flute and Queen's guitarist do that in the song "Brighton Rock." They both blew me away.

I tried that the first time I got my behringer em600 delay pedal, but didn't get it as accomplished as you have, that sounds mighty fine, I must try it again.
I don't often set up my amp these days :^(

Thanks guys! Ant, actually I'm using a Fab Echo in this clip, but I've modified it extensively, so it now has adjustable delay time, can do infinite repeats, can have a maxed out wet signal (the "echo" only, and no dry signal feedthrough), and have changed some capacitors to let a bit more bottom end through. I'm not sure how handy you are with a soldering iron, but you can find all the tricks here: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=64519.0

@Rubes: Yeah, it goes to show that you don't need a looper to play with your self! :) But loopers are cool, though!
