One closed tonight on eBarf for 390 bucks. I wonder if the price was because Chris Michalek had worked on it or just because it was available for immediate shipment.

I have one in A. Barely used, plays great. First $390 gets it.

These should probably be moved over to the For Sale thread, but if I were you guys, I would post 'em on Ebay. You'll probably get a lot more them there, especially the Filisko I would imagine.

Is the Filisko a Marine Band?

$390 for a B-Rad?

Harrison has certainly created a supply and demand situation for these instruments.

If we haven't seen it already, I bet people will start selling their B-Rad waiting list places for $100.00 or more.

This illustrates a few things:

1.) Harmonica players continue to have a firm belief in things like Mojo.

2.) There are some rich harmonica players with a fair amount of fun money.

3.) Harmonica players spend money on the weirdest things.

It probably did have something to do with that one, but they have gone considerably higher than that. I saw a C on Ebay that went for $500.
$500 B-rad

I've got two, an A and a C. The A B-rad was built by Richard Sleigh and the C was built by Brad himself. The fact that they are going for $400 and $500 gets a man who has one thinking for sure. But it doesn't have me thinking very long, I don't care how much they go up to, mine are staying right here.

The item description for that B-Rad, which appears to be a copy and paste from some type of news article, says that Brad is working on a new model.

I could never part with my C that Joe customized. I think the aliens that helped design the Egyptian pyraminds came down and helped Joe build that harp. ;) It's insane. Joe's work just keeps getting better and better. He updated my long slot D Golden Melody too.... simply phenomenal.

I guess that another went for $500!

I wonder who's buying these? Maybe it's Harrison Harmonicas trying to make themselves look better after having customer service problems!! ;)

I do really wonder tho?... Do you think because these are going for so much, that some folks will want one based soley on the fact that people are willing to pay so much for one?

I would believe its about 50/50 meaning part of it cause its a B-Rad and the other cause it was customized by Buddha. Just look at the FS thread, Todd put a couple of Buddha harps on ebite and look what they sold for!!

I have a GM in the key of C done by Buddha that I may put for sale!!

Some people have more money than brains. How in the hell does that work? And what is better to have more money or active brain cells?

@chromatic
Ill take the brain cells totally convinced that I dont want the expense and the hassle involved with the B-Rad so many excellent players do great without them

First off, I'm in any place to be spending close to $400 on a harp. But $400 for a b-rad is a pretty good deal, if you can get it tomorrow. If I was interested in a b-rad an extra $93 bucks to not wait a year seems like a fair deal. Of course you first have to have the money.

Fellas, fellas, fellas. Quit your speculating. I've got the inside scoop on Harrison Harmonicas.

What happened is that Chuck Norris ordered 500 B-Radicals in "C", for Chuck, obviously. He was told there was a waiting list and such a massive order would take time to fill. Norris then proceeded to roundhouse kick the waiting list into oblivion. This explains the erratic delivery times.

On the bright side, any of you who are receiving the latest production B-Radical can look forward to a harp that is vastly superior to the current production model since they are now using the patented Norris Length-wise Roundhouse Kick milled reeds method. This should significantly reduce future wait times.

Hey, I used to work there. I'm pretty sure I had to sign an agreement to not discuss Chuck Norris' involvement in reed milling.

David,

I also heard Chuck was going to roundhouse Brad, but you dove in front and he stopped mid-roundhouse because he couldn't hit someone with a beard as sweet as his own.

Yesterday, I finally received my second harp (A) that was pre-ordered 06/09. The C arrived in the fall 2010. I'm glad I waited and didn't give in and cancel my order after many emails checking the status of my order.

When comparing these two harmonicas with my own tinkered special 20's and marine bands it's clear they are louder, easier to bend with less air leakage, and obviously look cooler. comparing them with off the shelf harmonicas shouldn't be allowed because each b-rad is setup based on a survey of your playing style. also the mint flavored stuff they put on the b-rad comb is good for not retaining my occasional weed and whiskey breath.

bottom line...i wouldn't pay more than what I did for the harps, and reluctantly tell some who ask how much I coughed up for them, but now I want a D and Bb. If only I had money to blow like some people...
