Great as usual. Makes me want to throw my harps in the toilet and give up.
The only constructive criticism would be to keep your hand out of your face more often. Audiences (live or video) like to see the performers face. It's bad enough that we have to cover the bottom half of our faces, like Wilson from the show "Home Improvement" (don't know if it was shown in Canada). ---------- Ozark Rich __________ ##########
Hi-dee-ho neighbour. Home improvement would have been pretty cool had Wilson been playing harp in his backyard once in a while. Or maybe, the neighbour should habe been ''Kim Wilson''. LOL
I'm still noodling with ways to best cup and hold the harp...sometimes it gives little problems like the one you just adequately identified :) ---------- Heart2Harp
Mathieu, While this is very very good (and way beyond my own abilities!), for some reason, I don't like it near as much as your solo or duo stuff. I think it's the backing track. That kind of groove always sounds a bit cheesy to me. You know, just kind of a generic "late chicago-ish" type of a groove. It's what you hear all the time in local blues joints. Clearly it has mass appeal, but to me it just doesn't have the kind of soul that your other stuff has. If I was to choose what you would be playing (of course, I can't do that!), I would want you to stick with the solo/duo, soulful stuff that you've been doing until this point. To me, THAT's where you belong.
Of course all of this is only my own lone opinion, so please take it with a grain of salt! How YOU feel about your own music is what is most important, so I'd rather you do what you like, rather than what people like me say! Keep up the good work!
