I have a pretty hard time believing that MBH has more posts than Harp-L. Harp-L gets A LOT of posts and has been around 16 years longer than MBH. I had set up an email for using harp-l a little more than a year ago(approx.) (before that I never bothered posting and just read through their archive). Eventually I just stopped checking the email because I coudn't keep up with deleting all the old posts. Last time I check there was around 25,000 unread emails, and almost all of them are harp-l posts. So it seems pretty clear that the estimated 14,055 harp-l posts is nowhere near being accurate.

Those so called "estimates" on Harp-l are way off.

I emailed the admins to all of the forums. It took some time. They all thought I wanted to steal contact information.

The "Estimated" values are ones that the admins were not able to get exact values for. Being that they were wary, some gave incomplete or estimated answers.
----------

Usually "Estimated" values are labeled such to keep the viewer wary of inaccurate data. Use your imagination. I'm not collecting your tax info, I'm collecting post #'s.

If you can post the Accurate data that should be replaced, please do. It will be helpful.

I get an average of 2 Harp-L digests a day - that's equivalent to about 25 posts a day. This forum can get that in an hour or so.

I have been on Harp-L since at least 1997 .It was a fantastic resource of Harmonica knowledge....but lately it seems to of lost its Mojo..am i alone in thinking this?
MBH just has a lot more pzazz and harp talk..eg I haven't seen a single post on MBH asking whats on in Nowhereville on Saturday night.."'cos i'm passin' thru'"
Is Harp-L pass it used by date?

The Harp-l interface if you want to call it that is
archaic. I suggested a few years ago a change and
people jumped down my throat. It's not like it
was years ago. Yeah it's lost the snap it used to have.
I rarely post there anymore. I'm more of a lurker there now.

I like harp-l. A lot more pros post there than here-It seems here people are booted on a monthly or weekly basis-Harp-l is a lot more serious minded-that is really what it boils down to-if you don't like it,then don't post or lurk there.

After being a member for over a decade, I got the boot off harp-l for calling out the moderators for their unequal enforcement of the "rules".

I was warned. I'm not complaining about the list. It was helpful. It still is.
