Leonid, do you find the 515 to be much quieter than the other mics?
I've got the blue 515 Revolution. I like it but it's very quiet compared to the SUKM 'Prince of Darkness' AKAI DM-13 that I also got from Ron. I keep getting drawn back to the Prince. Loaned it to fellow jammer when his cable crapped out and he couldn't believe it. Best mic through his amp he'd ever tried.

Hi Guys,
I got new job in London so I will be back to Coach and Horses soon. I miss you guys too...
As for the mic it is not quiet. This impression is due to the recording method. What happens there is that I am recording with Zoom Q3 and this device has auto level feature. What that means that when I play the first note it overloads the mic and then the device adjusts itself to the volume. Trust me HG50 on Volume 3 is not quiet by any means. IN fact, the volume levels on 545 and 515 are the same. The bullet however is a mean mic. Much louder much hotter than the other two. Never seen CM element driving amp like that. That is even more shocking the fact that I played with that element for a while now and it never sounded like that. I don't know what kind of voodoo magic Ron applied there he is a freaking genius.

I dislike tone, all three are muddy and not enough distortion (it seems, you need to plug in your harp break), but it seems, that you put your Zoom too far from amp, to get all crispy overtones. at least try to face Zoom to amp, I can't see your amp on video.

Boris, I think he's not pushing the amp's tubes hard enough to get the breakup from it(he's playing in his home, and probably has neighbors to contend with), hence the cleaner sound from the amp.

Nice demo and playing Leonid-isn't there an override for that autolevel, or a different setting that doesn't incorporate the override on the Q3? I know I have seen clips of loud performances filmed on the Q3 that didn't autolevel like that.

The amp is on 3 and it is quite loud. The recording device has two other settings in addition to auto. They are hi and low gain not much help there.
I think if I put recorder closer to the amp it will level even more.
Some of the recordings I have done in the past were made in clubs and level was much better. Anyway I will try to experiment some more.
