In fairness, if he did pull a blues outfit together, I'd be all for it.

John Mayer is unknown in the UK. I'm not interested in the whole 'Your Body Is a Trampoline' thing he's known for in the states. He mainly gets tabloid inches here for his swordsmanship.

Has anyone listened to Try by John Mayer Trio? Pino Palladino and Steve Jordan. That album is awesome. The guy can really play. Check out his California Dreaming vid from the Conan show. Scary!

If Bieber could pull that out of his arse, I'd be a fan and with no shame about it.

Freaked me out!

John Mayer = self-proclaimed king of the blues
He is a decent player and his band mates rock. He should just talk less!

Here's one of JB's videos. It has 504 million hits. Notably, it has 600,000 likes and 1,200,000 dislikes! I kind of like the blend of JB and Ludacris, when that part happens. I'm using "like" in a relative sense, of course. But this stuff is genius, in its own way: bubbleteen pop:

Awe come on if Elvis did a movie "Bowling at the Racetrack" yall woulda been scalpin tickets....

Even at 50+ I'd agree to "throw me in the meat grinder" for a couple years. It's a one man Beatle show because all it takes is one with 10 million in stage and props and the audience came for the experience not the music...

I really like that the kid gives a hell of a lot of money to charities that he sees fit at this time. His mama was broke but she instilled good values and they show.

Maybe TOO GOOD to play the blues........

I think it's all ridiculous, but I understand what he is going through, and he is so young, he may just surprise us all, comin from the inside out.......

It's always a loaded cannon with this kind of stuff with kids who run through this system. Is he real talent? Or is he a sensation that can appease the masses without talent?

He started OUT as TALENT on those original videos.

Is he talented? Does he have a market? Elvis sure as hell didn't, they couldnt decide who would actually listen to his music.

The real question is: Is anybody helping him to be ORIGINAL.....

Let's get back to the kid that singing and dancing in those original videos, and ask HIM what he thinks at this point...

I just dont see that being done....
