A buddy of mine makes wood GM combs and sells them on eBay. I have four of them and they have worked out great for me. I think they are under $20 shipped.

He also makes them out of other materials such as acrylic...I have a clear one that looks great.

He doesn't know I am sharing this out, but if you want to contact him directly for any reason, let me know and I can give you his contact info.
I have absolutely no vested interest in what he is selling, but having had the chance to use both the maple and acrylic combs, they are well worth the cost. All the combs were extremely flat and the plates/combs lined up perfectly. I have had no problems with any warping or anything - and I typically do not like using wood combs other than bamboo - but these work well and smell great, lol. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas Updated 3/14/11

Hey Mike, I bought a maple and a cherry comb And they're great. I'm going to try some of his acrylic combs next. Highly recommended.

I'll add him to the customizers list. I'm kinda busy right now though, so if I forget, remind me.

I just went and impulsively bought 5 combs. I've been hankering to get some wood combs for my GMs FOREVER...
I figure these can't be any worse than the garbage crumbling combs that are already on there.
Good lookin' and thanks for the suggestion, Mike!

Will these combs change the size of the holes or is an oem fit? I ask because I got a comb from hetrick for a SP20 and it was thicker and the holes were made bigger. ---------- "A harmonica is not just a souped up kazoo" -Mo Rocca

The actual comb holes might be oversized, but that won't be an issue in how it performs. Unless the holes are larger in diameter than the screw head, it is fine.
From the combs I've seen, the holes are almost always oversized to allow moving the reedplate into position (for example, you can recess the plates a bit and you won't have as much of the plates sticking out when assembled.
You should still get an airtight fit. Regarding these specific combs, I can't say for sure without looking, but I think they were awfully close to the stock diameter, ie. not a lot of wiggle room. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas Updated 3/14/11
