Well i finally got it done this weekend. It took about 4.5 hrs and hurt like hell but it was worth it.

I also got a Help the Heros cupcake tattoo on my hand to help the troops out in Iraq as my nephew has just joined the forces. All the proceeds go to Help the Heros charity.

Hope you like the Sonny Boy Tattoo.

In reply to the question in the heading, I was going to say 'no thanks', but too late.

Good likeness Ant. Not sure I'd suffer that much pain for my art. I notice the leg is still shaved and it looks quite recent. Has it scabbed over yet or is that still to come.

Wow, looks good ant! You found a skilled tattooist by the looks. Didn't realize that tattoo artists had benefits for the military for buying certain designs either.

@Tooka , it was only done yesterday so its pretty raw at the moment. It will lightly scab over in the next few days but i'll give it some TLC and it sholud keep any scabbing to a minimum.

@Ryan, Help the Heros is a charity here in the U.K. that helps the troops and their familys.

There were two female Tattoists tattooing cupcakes of various designs for 10 hours straight yesterday and today to raise awareness and money for the charity. They must have tattooed a few hundred of em by the end of the weekend. They were priced at £20 -£30 and all proceeds went to charity.

I think they plan to do it at all the Tattoo conventions in the U.K. this year.

Nice! I dig it.

Can you send that image you have? I've not found it elsewhere on the net. I know you were looking for pics, so would love some if you've gathered some :)

When you shaved your leg did you end up doing the other leg, and then BAM one thing leads to another and your baby smooth everywhere.

Great choice for some ink. It looks like it turned out wonderfully. Your artist did a good job on the shading or "wash" as some like to call it. I can tell by the amount of shading just what it felt like.

Way cool Ant!

I just got some ink done myself. I'll have to get a photo of it and post it.
(It's definitely blues themed.)

"Help the Heros is a charity here in the U.K. that helps the troops and their familys" (Ant138).

That's pretty darn cool! Not sure there's a studio around me that has a similar thing or not. It's been quite a long time since I last got ink artwork done but I do believe it would be at least partially harmonica based.

It was well worth sitting for 4.5hrs even though it feels like really bad gravel rash at the moment.

Very cool! You could get Sonny Boy I on the other side and continue the debate over who was the original...lol.....I think they are both great.

The detail is excellent!

Now THAT'S dedication for the cause.

Now all that needs to be added is a text balloon that reads "A Little Village, Muther Fucker! A Little Village!" ;-)
