Buttered toast they say always lands butter side down if dropped, chromatic harmonicas always land on the button and bend the slide, well mine seems to. Twice I've dropped it both times it landed on the button, the first time it straightened easily, the second time it twisted slightly and after several attempts I can't get it quite right. Which means I can't tighten the screw for the mouthpiece tight, nearly but not quite. I think I may have to buy a new one they cost about £20 so not too bad. I've been looking on Amazon but can't see any on there s it looks like a trip to the music shop, when we're allowed out. It still plays but not so good at the top end.

Don’t you hate that.
What type of chromatic?
I work on Hohner and Seydel primarily because i can get most spare parts relatively easily.

It's a Suzuki SCX-64 Chromatix. I bought it thinking I would never buy another chromatic as I only play for my own amusement and they ain't cheap, good value though.
There's a music shop about thirty miles from here called Eagle music, most of their trade is done on line but they have a small shop and it's a very scenic motorbike ride from here. thinking about it they have a workshop as well so they might be able to fix it.
