Superbee mentioned bugle calls in a recent post. It reminded me of helping a US Scout Troupe introduction to harmonica a while back. The US bugle calls are pretty easy to play using blow only notes. Taps is a good one to start with on blow 3.

Superbee, best wishes with your upcoming bugle calls. If you start getting choked up (I know I would) it will just add a nice vibrato.

If you like "Taps" you may like this " I'll Silenzio "
written in 1965 by Italian trumpeter Nino Rosso. I've been trying to learn it on the chromatic with limited success.

And here in the USA we just played "Taps Across America".

Taps Across America

As much as I was tempted to pull out my bugle I chose the Bb tin sandwich

Nice I wish they had done that in the UK even this unsociable old git would have joined in.
