Im interested in starting to record some tracks to post on here. I wouldnt mind critiques on some of my playing. And i think it helps push everyone forward.

I don't have a working computer right now, but i can get it fixed. I don't want anything fancy. I really don't wanna tie any money up in it. So relatively on the cheap. I just need it to work.

So ....

What do you recommend for recording???

I use my cell phone...if that is of any help.
other than that
I use a 2nd hand digital voice recorder, (from a friend for about $30) it's small about the size of a tic tac box,
though I don't think it would handle any special effects.

As it turned out we use whatever comes with the phone (or camera) many can take videos/audios these days.
We did try a microphone app..but.. it muddied the recordings so we deleted it and went back whatever was already built into the phone...

We use the voice digital recorder when we take our lessons and it will easily record more than an hours worth.

I think there are 5 folder each capable of 200 files per folder..my wife in particular just send the files to other in her quartet for example..so can't say for certain if it can be done to a public forum but I would think so...
