Been working on 'Thunder' from Steve Guyger and Paul Oscher's Living legends album - great album. I only have the album as a download and without the liner notes I don't know who's playing harp on each track - anyone know who plays this one? I think it's steve Guyger but I'm not certain.

@tmf714 Thanks - that's the problem with downloaded albums, no liner notes.

That is some sweet playing jordan.

It looks like your into woodshedding almost everything i'm working on too lol!!

I discovered Steve Guyger and Paul Oscher a few months ago and havn't looked back since, i love both of those guy's and generally that type of Blues playing. Theres nothing flashy about it, their not playing a million notes a second but its the type of Blues harp playing that moves me the most.

Keep up the good work dude:o)

Can i ask where you get your backing tracks from?

Do you have a guitarist to lay those tracks down?

Ant, couldn't agree with you more! Ever since I got Steve Guyger's 'Last Train to Dover' I've been hooked - he plays some unbelievably cool stuff. I like Gary Smith for the same reason: when he plays a lick, it stays played, and it's not flash for the sake of flash either.

The backing tracks are done by me - they're adequate but I don't know enough to make them swing like they should!

@ Jordan, well those tracks sound sweet to me, i used to play guitar but mainly metal, i havn't touched it since i started to play harp 5 years ago.

Wish i could play enough blues on guitar to make my own backing tracks.

I hadn't heard Gary Smith before, i had heard of him but hadn't checked him out. i just been on to youtube and yes he is exactly up my street, thanks for the heads up on him:o)

I would love to se Steve live but unfortunatly living in the U.K. i never get to see any Blues artists. Sometimes Catfish Keith plays my local pub once in a while but ive missed him everytime he's been here otherwise here in North Wales theres nothing:o(

I can't believe the cool shows that people get to see stateside like Mark Hummels blow out, James Cotton, Jason Ricci, Tip of the Tops, Steve Guyger to name but a few.
