This is a semi-comical semi-serious 'is it just me' thread. So does anyone else sometimes get weird noises from the back of the mouth/throat kinda like the air channel closing? If i am concentrating on a bend really hard this doesnt happen but happens often if I need to play some hard full steps/hold notes/play quickly with deep bends. I ask this because Ive been learning st louis blues (gussow version) over last couple of days and all those 3draw bend riffs are killing me! Thanks guys

Naw....I just get gurgling like my throat just got cut and I am chocking on my own blood...seriously.
For me it is called lack of muscle control. It was much worse and I only seem to get it when I have been practicing too long and on the lower key harps.
Controlled full step bends on the 3 draw on the A and G are tough to get.
Oh, and the squeeling from the twisting reeds? Sounds like a cat being molested with a 2x4. But that is a control issue as well.
Cheers.

I wouldn't worry about it, if its only occasionally.
As you get better and relax more, it will diminish.
Actually I quite like to stick a grunt in now and again for effect. ---------- The Pentatonics Myspace Youtube
