I picked up the masco Mu-5 yesterday and this amp has gobs of Tone.
Definitely a keeper and perfect for my house and recording.
I will see if I can get some sounds clips up. I am adding some pictures.

Also, If anyone can tell me if they know what speaker is in this thing..I dont think it is stock but it sounds awesome. Also what years did they make this amp?

it looks like a old Jensen C8R that would of been added later. The amp would of been made in the early to mid 50s my guess would be 1954. I think that speaker is 25 watts it might sound even better with a Weber sig but if it sounds good as it is theres no point in changing it

Strawwoodclaw,

Thanks for that info. Does the handle look to be replaced? It looks like the same in the manual but it is not weathered.
I dont see any point in changing this speaker right now but at some point I might try a Weber just to see what it does. Who knows could even sound better but as it is it sounds awesome and highly recommend these little amps. Perfect for my bedroom and then some.
What exact Weber would you try in this thing if I wanted to fool around?

Thanks
