danny klein (bassists)has a geils-tribute band going on for a while now - but geils reunion was only for a few gigs i think. ---------- ~Banned in Boston!
IMHO, Magic Dick sounds way better when playing with Tommy Castro's band recently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2V9-UHa2dlM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DH2rSwCn_z0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkRWh0elAOg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKMF3fY64Es
i would be pissed as the harp player at the first two gigs. great harmonica through the crappy sound and could be the harp gear, but my bet is the sound guy totally messed up on the harp sound. vocals, backups were ok. harp sound sucked. the third video had recording problems but the harp was proper in the mix. nothing groundbreaking in the harp playing here, but would not expect that.
