I am triying to tweek an old marine band for overblowing.. It is hard!!! When I give a bigger gap to the reed (reed 6 on the blow plate) it response very well, but the overblow is squeeling.. and when I reduce the gap, the overblow come very well but the blow response is shit..
What sould I do =\

You need to gap both the blow and draw reeds to get the optimum gapping set up. How to set up the gapping is a matter of trial and error. I recommend watching Joe Spiers videos on gapping on YouTube. Just search for "Choppajoe" to find them.

Embossing also helps. The blow reed is important but also the draw reed should improve overblow response.
