Went for my first harp lesson ever today at 11:00-12:00. He's a pretty cool mellow cat my instructor.
After that I came home for a while until I couldn't stand it any more and took off for Guitar Center. Came home with a Vox VT30 and a Red Howler mic. The Vox are on sale at $169. Woohoo I'm jammin.

Jammin after one lesson? He must be one hell of an instructor! :-)

Go ahead and play the blues if it'll make you happy.

Well I did pick up a few pointers on my own beforehand here on this forum and elsewhere on the web, a couple of library books and such.
I've only been playing since Christmas and I have a long long way to go, but it's just a matter of time and practice brother.
I can only play maybe 3 songs well but they do rock through my new amp! Really cool to hear yourself amplified the first time.

Well I don't really have anything to compare it to and I just got it today so all I know is it sounds pretty cool to me and gets pretty loud. I'll get it dialed in more as I go along I guess.

"i wish i could buy a mic and an amp but they cost money, and i dont have any.. "

That's true but at least with the harp you don't have to have electronics to practice, as opposed to electric guitar, etc. And harps aren't real expensive. I would have waited on the amp/mic but I received a big tax refund and figured if I didn't do it now it might be a while before I could even when I decided I needed one so WTH...

"Keep up that great positive attitude and you will be a star!~~"

Thanks Gary, It's just a matter of time!
I like to believe that anyway, but either way I'll have fun playing and learning.
