Hello,
Anyone have any experience working out the tabs to Skip It by BWH? I believe it is in the key of C but probably played on a chromatic.
The first couple of measures sound to me like this (played on a diatonic):
4/5 draw pulsed 5/6 blow Back to 4/5 draw Up to 6 draw
Any thoughts?

If I remember correctly, try a solo tuned Marine Band 364. Tune is in the key of D. ---------- The Blues Photo Gallery

D?
When I play over the song, C is the harp key that works best.

The note layout on the 364S, which replaced the actual model BW used, which was the MB Soloist/Scool Band model (discontinued in 1975 and I've got two of them and NONE are for sale), is EXACTLY the same as a 12 hole chromatic minus the slide. The 364S was an inferior replacement to the original Marine Band Soloist model. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

I am assuming that BWH used the 12 hole harp because of the big 5 hole octaves on this song. Would that be a correct assumption?

He didn't play a true octave on that harp, he just did it much like LW, opening up as if he was doing an octave on a diatonic, and so he's playing in 6ths and NOT a true octave at all. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
