So just got my first MB Crossover (A) today and Im super impressed by it. There is just one thing that seems to be off. My 4 hole draw seems to be a but unresponsive when given a light stream of air, but when I really give it some force it kicks right in like it should sound. The reed almost seems to stall and the note barely plays when i draw softly. Im assuming i need to either gap the reed out or close it back in? Im hoping it is an easy fix as I just got the harp today. Any help would be appreciated. Andrew

Why don't you just open it and look?

Take the covers off. Use a tooth pick to GENTLY push it down so it sits as high as the 5 draw. You should be ok then. Push towards the middle third of the reed. If you push too hard, put the tooth pick in the draw hole and push it back up.
The ultimate key here is to not warp the reed. If you push too hard and are too close to the tip, you can bend the reed and it will suck.
Just be gentle and push more towards the middle of the reed and you should be fine. If you have a junk harp, try it on that first. It isn't hard to do. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas Updated 2/1/11

Ok Thanks, So your saying its most likely gapped too much? I did look at it and It looked fine, but then again i don't know exactly where it should be.
