I bought a set of Promasters for Christmas so I could try other keys.(I'm a beginner) I'm finding the 3 blow sounds off and I don't know if it's the harp or my poor technique. Is this a difficult note or might I have gotten bad one?

I find I only really play the C and the G, hoping to put the Bb to use with Adam's you tube vids though.

Compare it to the 2 draw, that is the same note, so it should sound the same.

Suzuki harps can be gapped really low--check that first.
If you are in the US, call me at 800-854-1594--maybe I can help, one year warranty you know.

Thank you for the offer Gnarly, however I am in Canada. I might check into the CDN end though if I have warranty.

PS You folks need to start making Manji's with Promaster cover plates. Fits the hand so much nicer and seems to dampen the metallic sound you get with the Manji cover plates.

Thanks Dutch, I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be the same on a different key.

Try a 3 / 6 blow octave - i.e. block the 4 and 5 with your tongue when sounding a blow chord.

If one note is out then there will be a "beat" whe they are playe togeher

Also you could try the online tuner from seventh string

@Gamblershand

Thanks for the tuner link. It is a great tool to let you know if you are really hitting that "blue third". Of course it will let you know if you are hitting the other bends as well.

I must now admit it turns out it was my poor technique. The Suzuki is tune and I was not.

Thank you all for your help.
