Here's another one for the blues. Let me know if you have any suggestions...

I had to post another one of me,....more on topic from the last one. I had to delete it, sorry. She was tooooo heavy metal.
Check her out (Meytal Cohen). Truly, an aberration of female drum talent.

Nice playing dudes. Blows away anything in this one horse town. At least it's blues and not another cover of Sweet Home Alabama. (kill me now) And bruh could be worse !

thanks ncpacemaker,
yeah, I got to give my bro some credit...he's there EVERY monday and keeps the blues alive in THIS one horse town. Few give him the credit he deserves.
Honolulu has several dedicated cats who can actually play. But I put my bets on taking a vacation to the mainland to see the real deals. Some of which are still around. Hawaii is the boon docks...

Harp souds good - Tell the lead guitar player that when you're soloing, his job is R H Y T H M - not noodling/playing over you.

Mojokane, I will be in Honolulu at the end of February and would like to see you play. Where is your gig at?

I'll take the comment from Greg to heart...I wasn't sure if I liked it, or if he was in my way....you're right, if he gets 'in the way'. It's hard to have us both soloing at the same time. We could trade 2's or 4's...
Zadozica...we're very close to Waikiki. Kind of the out skirts. A place called Kapahulu. Laid back, very cool crowd, two pool tables, a few bikers show up, some tourist, too.
Jump in a cab, he'll know. Just tell em OnStage, in Kapahulu.
Zadozica, where you coming from? And when..exactly?

Mojokane, I come to Honolulu on business 4 times year and we stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village - love the fireworks on Friday night. My wife has been there so much she is almost Kamaina so we can find your place. I believe we arrive on 2/24 and leave on 3/3.

What is your set time?

alright!!..I work at the Halekulani Hotel. kevincanwait@aol.com....email me, if you have any more ideas or questions, or when you get here. There's a few things going on during those dates.
We start the Monday thing at OnStage in Kapahulululululu at 6:30. The bonus is there's a incredible sax player in town. Ed Jonnet. He just did a show with Travis Haddix friday night. What a show. No harp players. But an awesome night of (harpless) blues.
Ofcourse, us harp players like to think, it ain't blues without harp....but that's not always the case. (BB King, etc..)
You'll be welcome to sit, so grab your toys and join in.
Look up on craigslist/musicians, my bro posts the sets best(ha)with a link to his Myspace page. We do pretty good, for the only place doing a steady blues thing in town...and you never know who'll show up.
Thanks for asking. See ya there!
oh, Ron (Harley)...that vocal mic? My bro likes the harp mic now and then. I shut him down too much when I sing through the 58. (fragile ego) HAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAA!

Mojokane, is there a descriptor on the craiglist site that will take to where I need to go for the set list? I can't promise I will be there but I will try.

uh oh...I'm not a big believer in 'try'. I do 'hope' you'll 'do your best'....ha!
There's a link to my bro's Myspace website on the C.L. post.. http://www.myspace.com/pauhanabluesband.
Try this one....I wasn't there, and haven't heard last weeks show.
They had fun, I'm sure.
There was a killer sax player holding the horn section down for me while I was off networking....He'll be around every Monday until 3-7-11.
No worries,..make it if you can. If no can. no can.

I'm singin through the harp mic...
yeah, guitar players are rare when they can step out of the way and share the stage with a harp player...go figure.
Just got back from a gig...I'm toast. Had a good time playin with friends.

Nobody there, damn! terrible...terrible terrible!!! The blues scene is dismal in Hawaii. What can I say?
