thanks for the tip bonedog. I saw these same mics listed a couple of weeks ago, and the seller wanted 100 bucks each for them then. Now, at half that price it might be worth a try.
In another thread I asked Greg about whether it was possible to chop an RE10 to make an Ultimate, and he said no--there's a transformer inside the handle, potted in with epoxy.
