Why does Howard Levy have a series of videos on Simple Bending which ranges from Simple Bending Part 1 to Part 13? That's without going into the blow bends.
Hmmm! I must be missing something here. Maybe I'm doing it all wrong.

Because he doesn't just teach bending - he teaches bending in a context, so he deals with bends on different reeds and then frames that bend musically. Same with overblows - pointless learning all these new notes if you can't fit them in anywhere...

i think playing a OB set up harp is great for that style,but setting the reeds so close for the OB,stops some of the overtones from sounding.a harp set looser for the chicago style has more overtones and the sound is fat,and honkin`,so it is good to have both...
