Imagine 5 of the best harp players in the world at one gig in an intimate club setting and you get an idea of what Mark Hummel's Blowout show was like last night at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz. Andy Just, Rod and Honey Piazza, Sugar Blue, and Billy Branch!! Are you KIDDING ME!?! He'll be in LA tomorrow night 1/20. You don't want to miss it. I've never heard Cotton Creeper, one of my favorite songs, played with more juice than Mark's performance last night. They TORE IT UP!!!

Hummel did a really nice version of that tune last night. It was a good blowout. Andy Santana does a killer version of it, too. So does Billy Branch.
I've seen Cotton do that tune a zillion times. No one else approaches him.
