I'm driving from Oxford, MS to Chapel Hill to give a lecture at UNC on March 15th, and I'll be doing harp-related things in Atlanta (3/13), Raleigh (3/14), and Virginia (3/17-18). I'm looking for gigs of any sort (including small pickup clinics with 4-5 players and opening slots for blues bands) on 3/16 and 3/19.
On 3/16, ideal location would be Richmond-area.
On 3/19, ideal location would be Knoxville/Chattanooga

Greetings Dr. G: I could not resist de-lurking when I read this post. I would like to hear more info about your visit to Raleigh on 3-14. If this is to be a public event I will make every effort to attend. I'm 30 minutes northeast of there. You will probably come within spitting distance of here when you head north to Richmond as I'm less than 1 mile off hwy 64 east which runs into I95 near Rocky Mount, NC. Maybe you can stop buy. My wife is a helluva cook ! Coincidently, March 15th is my birthday. I would be a treat to meet you in person. You got an open invitation, just let me know.

I won't be able to stop by, but thanks for the offer--and happy birthday, BTW.
On Monday 3/14 I'm playing a club in Raleigh called Deep South: The Bar. I'm not sure what the hours are, but I think it's 2 x 45 minute sets starting at 8 PM. There's no cover and no guarantee. I think I'm playing for tips. But the guy who set up the gig has lots and lots of friends in town, and he assures me that they will be drinkin' and tossin' bills. See you there.

Just a note: The Deep South Website says the show starts at 9:00. Also Dr. G, your Deep South link on your gigs page is broken.
