"I Can't Make You Love Me" is a 1991 popular song, written by Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin and recorded by Bonnie Raitt on her Luck of the Draw album from that year.
I can't see the video now, but I always thought that was a beautiful yet sad song. Your videos always put a smile on my face.
Oh, I wanted to tell you I picked out that other Police song I mentioned on one of your other postings, Murder By Numbers-if only I could find a backing track for it, i'd steal some time and lay it down. If not, I suppose I can tab it for those who like tabs.

Nice one squire..as always, top quality stuff. We are lucky people to have you posting ....and to think I have sat in that chair...I should have stolen your cap and see if it improves my playing.
I came to this song via Steve Baker and Chris Jones 1994 album slow roll. Tasty stuff, I advise checking it out some time.
hello grey owl love your solos you are on facebook dont be surprised if my cousins in brighton or their children recognize you somewhere in town such a small world
@Todd I have tried without success to find a backing track for 'Murder by Numbers' (well except for one crumby sounding version that didn't sound like the same tune.) I would love to hear you play it, but I guess it wouldn't work that well without the backing track. I'll keep looking!!
@ Groyster. Yea, you never know. I recall my Brother-in-law telling me of the time years ago when he went on a backpacking trip with his girlfriend to South America.
One day they bumped into to some good friends high up in the Andes in a sleepy little village in Peru, neither couple knowing the others were on holiday, let alone on another continent......!!!
@Shoulders "...I should have stolen your cap and see if it improves my playing."
Haha but only if I can steal your youth and abitilty to OB/OD Toungue blocked and your tone......

I found a live performance of the song by them on YouTube and what a great version it is, gave me the shivers!!!
Must get together soon and sort out that Youtube and recording stuff as I would love to see you post some of your playing!!
Heck this is the 3rd time I've typed this lot out after two failed attempts. I even know the embed code for the vid off by heart now. (Copied into Word now - just in case)
