On another topic I posted some solo harmonica pieces by Adam such as Grooving Shuffle, Powerharp Groove, What'd I Say, and Crossroad. Hakan Ehn has posted on youtube Stone Fox Chase and Rockabilly Boogie. I'm looking for other lessons on pieces that sound good using only harmonica. Any help or suggestions are appreciated!
When I came back to playing harp after a long break, I found this french player called Paul Lassey (Ziharmo on Youtube) and was hooked in by one Vid featuring him playing some short Paul Butterfield licks. The vids are in French but that doesn't matter because you can hear him play and he also tabs the licks on screen so you can follow them easily.
He posts a small study weekly interspersed with occasional perfomance videos.
He has posted quite a lot of stuff of various musical genres (including blues), over the years and it would be worthwhile checking out to see what interests you.
Here are a couple of examples. First the Butterfield licks. Note he plays about 7 of them through first then slowly repeats them with the tabs displayed.
This one in English - Little Walter - My Babe with tabs
Dave Barrett on his web site www.bluesharmonica.com has quite a few instrumentals with tabs and instruction for all levels of players. I like the site very much.
