music and age of Image I have a neighbor that I grew up with,he has always been a good musician with a few different instruments, one being a doboro guitar he plays some blues slide a little, but he can crankout SRV on guitar,or kenny wanye, and rock it out all night at keggers that we have around here from time to time, the other day he's doing some outside work, and has Motley crew blaring,Now I used to really love Motley crue ,as a mater of fact I went to my 1st concert to see the crue with his brother, back as a kid,Yes im not a young pup anymore;-)The point is his playing Motley crue music to feel young and really get into what hes doing,All it did for me was make me feel old listening to it next door,And thats how I am with most rock music I grew up with in the 80's, dont get me wrong It had its purpose I still respect it ,but when I listen to it It makes me feel old,Now reverse the situation where Im jamming to some yard work music,I have something thats about 50 years older than that going on ,some Muddy or sonny boy,You know what im talking about,And this music makes me feel young, full of energy, and alive, with hope for the future,But I give my other buddy who is the same way as my neighbor a ride to get some beer he gets in the truck I have Sonny boy 1 playing hes like what the hell are you listening to thats some anceint music,I smile like I know something that they just dont undertand,I know it but im not sure why its that way.

Hey Hobo - I think part of the appeal of blues is - you can play it at almost any stage of life because you are generally singing about emotion. Emotion is all thru every age. Rock and Roll is a young mans game (all due repect to Mick, Keith and the boys) ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!
