I'm tuning reeds and the most recent discussion I found here on tuner apps was early last year. I'm wondering if anybody uses something that has come out recently. Droid phone. Thanks.

I have a Samsung Moment...awful battery (and I have done EVERYTHING to help this) and after 15 months, YouTube isn't working right and my email is seeming to have issues.
I was looking at getting the new HTC, without a qwerty, as I'd use the camera all the time. Really, I use my phone 90% for music...texting my bandmates, reading this forum, emailing bookers and customers.
It is almost more important that it do multimedia than be a good phone, lol.
I have Sprint, which is probably only slightly better than ATT. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas

I use gstrings as well for guitar, bass, and sax; but I haven't got into tuning harps yet.
I have a droid x and I love it... I wanted an an iphone, but I didn't want AT&T. I hear rumors of a Verizon iphone, so def wait a few days. Both phones are cool in their own ways... like Droid uses Google for it navigation, so GPS is killer. iphone has more apps, like the strobe tuner.

I use the Cleartune app on the iphone all the time For guitar , mandolin, and saxes it is the best tuner of any sort I have used, and most of the guitar players I have shown it to agree.
You can callibrate A 440 to whatever you like, you can change temperment - from equal to just and other more exotic temperments I've never heard of. For my Bb and Eb saxes I can set the transposition to match my instrument.
It's got both gross and fine readings you see at the same time and you can adjust the dampening of the fine meter needle.
It's one of my faveorite apps and get's used daily. One caveat to mention - I don't tune my own harp reeds yet. I am just starting to gap and emboss. ----------

G-Strings - the free version - works dandy on my Samsung Galaxy S. I use it mainly for guitarists who forgot their tuners. Lots of settings and tunings to choose from.
