When people think about contemporary masters of the Delta blues, the name "Bill Abel" doesn't usually come to mind. But as far as I'm concerned, he's one of the very best. I'm lucky enough to call him a friend; I've played a half-dozen gigs with him. He does a great one-man band thing. But basically he just plays deep, honest blues. He was born and raised in the Delta.
Thanks Adam not enough of this music is played It would be great to see one with you two playin. They were playin Terry Bean on the radio and talkin about HillCountry music and Delta music and how it is differant. I for one did not know this
Fantastic Stuff !!! Reminds me a bit of Hound Dog Taylor style (minus the slide of course). Saturate the tubes and get that heavy gain tone. Thanks for posting. Very nice indeed. ---------- "Keep it in your mouth" - XHarp
