I just wanted to say thanks to Jason for the help.
I feel like I am a confident playerand not afraid to get on stage. I'm no master by any means but I do play with several bands/ musicans in the local music scene on a regular basis. Any way I felt like my music was getting routine for me so..... I bought a chromatic harp and started to work on playing 3rd pos. on the diatonic also.
I was lost with no one local to help. I searched youtube and found many videos but most didn't give me what I needed in a way I under stood, some times I can't see the forest for the trees.
I found Jasons videos to be just what I needed, "Chromatic for diatonic blues players" and "3rd position blues on diatonic"
Thanks so much Jason these opened up the window and things have really taken off for me in this new area of harp. Videos were simple and to the point, even a musically challanged guy like me got it!
I'm going to play 3rd on diatonic Friday when my new band does "The thrill is gone" on stage. I also played Chromatic to the group "Clutch" song called "Regulator" with another acoustic guitar player friend at an open mic a few weeks back,it knocked them out!
I hope to get a chance to say thanks in person some day but until then this is the best I can do.
Sincerly, Michael Rector
P.S. hope you do a class in N/O, I'll be there, I'm just across the border in Texas.

Shredder..I agree. Great videos by Jason on youtube. Would LOVE to see more from him.

I have seen 3 of Jason's shows. The first was 6 weeks after I started playing and he was kind enough to sit and talk harp with me for over 1/2 hour before his show....another time he had coffee with my wife and I prior a show.

Great guy...glad I met him...and I have got my fingers crossed that he makes it to Hill Country!

Regards,
Duane
