There is an Electro-Voice DS-35 mic for sale about an hour's drive away from me. I'm curious about it because I've read online that it is similar to an RE-15, but the comparisons I read were not written by harp players. In the pictures I've seen of the mic, it has an oblong-shaped windscreen that is a good deal larger (longer) than the spherical windscreen of the RE-15, and is perhaps too long to be cupped.

Have any of you ever tried one of these for harp?

Thanks,

Mark
