We are up and running and accepting PayPal registrations.

I'm still tinkering with the program, but the talent is in place. You may be sure that we listened hard to ALL the feedback we received last year. (The stills are working 24/7, deep in the woods, to provide you more of what you insisted you needed.)
We have raised the price slightly, from $150 to $165. Our budget is higher and we're providing more band [sic] for the buck. It's that simple. The $50 price for Significant Others remains the same.
Last year, things started at Foxfire around 1 PM on Saturday, to enable us to have the crossroads meetup at 10 AM followed by lunch. This year, the program at Foxfire will start at 10 AM on Saturday. (Actually, we'll be tinkering with the start times depending on audience sentiment. My inclination is always to start earlier, but some people like to jam late. We'll work witcha.)
We have agreed to allow Bill Hollowell to charge $10 per night for camping on his property. He gets it all. This sort of fee is entirely unexceptional. Please don't fuss.
I've asked Deak to handle the jam session at Rooster's on Friday night. Whew! Why on earth would I voluntarily relinquish the chance to shepherd 30 harp players on and offstage in a three-hour span? I'm not greedy, that's why. Share the joy. I plan to take it slightly easier this year, rather than trying to do everything all at the same time.
Actually, the real reason I want Deak to handle the Friday night jam is that Satan and Adam will join y'all at a meetup out at the crossroads outside Oxford sometime late Friday afternoon. Time TBA. We'll let you know.
Special guests to be announced.
Also: Deak, as he's noted in another thread, will be playing Red's Lounge in Clarksdale on Thursday evening, 5/19, and I will be playing an opening set. We'll definitely team up for a couple of songs. What is the sound of two one-man bands clapping? THAT is not a koan I can answer right now.

Satan and Adam will open for Sugar Blue on Saturday night. The evening will conclude with an open jam session hosted by the Sugar Blue Band.
Sonny Boy Terry and his band will open for Charlie Sayles on Sunday night. The evening will conclude with an open jam session hosted by the Sonny Boy Terry Band.
Our other teacher/performers will get a chance to do their performance-thing, too.
NOLA people: please let Jason know that we're leaving the light on for him. He has an open invitation to show up at HCH and steal the show.

I will see him next Wednesday, probably with Major Bacon, or at our Crescent City Harmonica Club meeting, or maybe both. I will let him know, and have him contact you for the details. ----------

satan is gonna make the show. that's great news. i am glad his health has improved enough for the trip.
and it's good to see you delegating some of your responsibilities. i think doing so will give the convention to continue for many years.
