Sorry, I'm just excited because every single time I try to put something to video I screw up hard. This isn't perfect (timing and pitch plus I tripped for a second) but it's the best cut I've made. And of course, constructive criticism welcome.
Edit: It may be hard but just hang in until about 0:51.

Hi DF, it's great you've got the first video out of the way. It's quite a milestone in terms of sorting out the technical bits and having the balls to say' "Well, this is me, and this is what I do".
You're opening yourself up to lots of negative feedback but you won't get any. Most people will admire you for doing what you've done and wish they could do it too.
As far as constructive criticism goes, all I can say is that performing for the camera can be just as daunting as playing to a live crowd. I think it makes you up your game so it can only make your playing better.
Your sound is solid. Get some jam tracks or if you have a Mac use the magic band in garage band. There are two grooves that can be transposed in the blues vein. Golden Melody my Ax of choice. ---------- Emile "Diggs" D'Amico a Legend In His Own Mind How you doin'
I appreciate it. My new years harp resolution is to quit being such a closet harmonica player and get out and play with people. Jam tracks are a good idea. Guess I should pry open the ol' wallet and get some for the greater good. ---------- Be safe, keep the faith, and don't let em tearrrrrr ya down.
Hey man, sounds really good! The Golden Melody has a nice distinct tone too, which is more apparent to the listener on the other side of the harp. I notice that you make a really nice cup around the back of the harmonica, allowing only a small opening for the sound to project. This not only gives the harmonica a warmer tone, but helps eliminate the "wah-wah" sound that is often over exaggerated. Your sound chamber, as well as how you pronounce your notes and bends, are all things that contribute to your tone. You did a great job and didn't over accent any hand vibratos or wah-wahs. Impressive in my opinion. Stick with that tone and keep it as your foundation. Hope this helps!
you suck, quit now...ok im just kidding. i remember my first video, it was a year ago or so...i recorded a thousand too, ended up using the first take. welcome to the journey. making vids of yourself is good because you have a reference to go back and see how much youve improved over time. youre well on your way. ---------- Kyzer's Travels Kyzer's Artwork "Music in the soul can be heard by the universe." - Lao Tzu
About the video thing (I know a bit about this), prior to record anything you should be comfortable with the song you'll play, since you can feel very self conscious it can influence the way you'll play...
Another that might help you, is to take it as a joke, a game, a fun way to share what you'll play.
One more thing NEVER apologize for the thing that you're presenting it makes people less comfortable with what you'll present.
Same as Todd said keep working hard on the 2nd and 3rd bends (2bends on the second hole, and 3 bends on the 3rd), work them till you lips bleeds
---------- Never try to be as good as someone else, succeed to be the best player you can be!
That was cool-very honest and raw. Keep up the good work-and to echo Cristal-don't apologize. I had to break myself of that habit, too. You have nothing to be sorry for! ----------
