I have all of JJ's cd's, and they have been a source of inspiration and enjoyment to me for many years.

My collection was completed this Christmas by the double cd called 'HARMONiCAS' (2009) on Dixiefrog Records

40 tracks of fantastic harmonica of many styles, with the keys of the harp given on the sleeve.

I couldn't agree more Nick. He is a truly wonderful player. I love that double CD where he really showcases both his versatility and virtuoso playing. His is immensly capable with blues, rock, celtic and jazz. If anyone hasn't heard of hin he really is worth checking out.

@ harmonicanick:

Yeah J.J is the man who has made it big in France and in Europe since the 70's. This double CD is a collection of his previous albums. That's great that americans begin to get to know him, because Jean Jacques is the perfect example that it doesn't matter where you're born in order to play a music coming from somewhere else.

Merci beaucoup pour tes voeux (meaning thanks for your wishes) how come you speak french?

@ Cristal

how come you speak french?

I have been married to a Parisienne for over 30 years.

We spent Christmas in Paris (Montmatre) with my family and my wife's family.

We have lived in Bristol uk since '74 and all speak French.

Sorry you could not come to the Harp Festival in October.

Blue Third is my favorite JJ Milteau album.

Blues, more jazz, some instrumental, many with vocals. Just all around great music.

I see your Blue Third (& 2nd it :) ) and raise you with Live Hot & Blue, which is a good live collection of music including some songs from Blue Third.
