I've got a Special 20, Key of E, that is unplayable on the 2 and 3 draw.
The 2 hole will play unbent, half-step bent, and full-step bent, if played very softly. When I use much air at all, it kinda chokes off in the half and full-bend.
The 3 hole draw will play unbent and half-step bent, but when I get to the full-step and step-and-a half bend, the reed squeals, even with the slightest amount of air pressure.
I play SP 20s almost exclusively, and none of the others do this, even when played pretty hard. I guess it could be in my technique, but none of the others do this when played with the same approach.
Thanks for your support.

Check out the alignment and flatness of the 2nd &3rd blow reeds and adjust your gapping a bit.

Increase the gaps, then gradually close down and adjust accordingly. My guess is the gaps are too tight. ----------

From what you've said, I suspect rather a leaking problem, than a real gapping issues. Please verify that the screws are tighten.
If the problem is still there adjust the 2nd and the 3 rd hole with a gauge at 10 or 15....It should work after that
---------- Never try to be as good as someone else, succeed to be the best player you can be!

Thanks again..... the fix was a slight re-alignment and gapping of the 2 and 3 blow reeds.
