Thanks for your comments! I played Hohner Marine Band DeLuxe harmonica in the key of Bb. Here is the text from the video:
0:14: The main theme from the harmonica god Little Walter's tune "Juke".
0:30: From the tune "Harpin' On A Riff" by Charlie Musselwhite who was my first serious inspiration for harmonica more than twenty years ago. The song is from the album "The Harmonica According To Charlie Musselwhite". The first time I heard him live was early 90s. I remember my friend asked me how old Charlie was. I said 46, he replied "shit he looks like 64". So he has probably had a hard life and his music is very soulful.
1:30: I heard Mark Feltham, harmonica player in the British R&B band Nine Below Zero, playing this phrase from "Jingle Bells" in their tune "The Rocker". It's probably widely used. They are fun to watch live, a mix of rock, pop and blues.
1:45: Common blues boogie theme.
2:00: Adam Gussow's harmonica version of Ray Charles' hit "What'd I Say". I first heard the harmonica version when I bought the album "Word on the Street" by the blues duo Satan and Adam. Very good album!
2:15: Kim Wilson is using this tounge blocking riff every now and then. It doesn't seem to be connected to a particular song. I saw him live with Jimmie Lee Vaughan in the 80s and also 2-3 years ago with a new band. He is always great.
2:30: Just a repetitive theme.
2:45: Lester Young, tenor sax, recorded "Jumpin' With Symphony Sid" 1947.
3:00: Charlie Parker, alto sax, recorded "Now's The Time" 1945.
3:15: Ella Fitzgerald's recording of the song "It Ain't What You Do" from 1939 was on a cheap jazz collection CD I bought. That was a good investment!
3:35: Hakan Ehn fast harmonica riff.
3:50: Little Walter again. From the tune "Off The Wall".
4:07: Santa.

No sooner had you got going, then I became very worried. Oh no, 'here we go again', I groaned inwardly.
But Hakan, you Scandinavians are pretty smart - the liner notes ... of course - that is THE solution. Simply admit up front the Little Walter link and you are in the clear. Take the wind out of Mr Gussow's sails before he leaves the shore with his accusations.
But even more than that, a touch of brilliance or perhaps pure genius - name drop Adam as well! Perfect.
Now all we need to do is get Bharath to do the same and we are in for a peaceful festive season.
BTW, great fun video - thanks for posting. I especially liked the Lester/ Charlie bit in the middle.
Jagrowler - What I really would like to name drop is Jason Ricci. But he is to good, his music is to special to be copied. For example Goenophiny, 20+ minutes of harp madness. But Gussow, Kim and the other guys are good too! ReedSqueal - I just thought they should have a merrilly christmas too. They are probably working hard for their money.
Hakan. I thought that was great. But, did you really play that with all those fake whiskers around your mouth. I wouldn't mind if you admit to miming, I'd understand, I know it was you playing. Thanks. ----------
tookatooka - I'm playing but the music that was used in the video was pre-recorded, since I was too lazy to practice to remember all the different parts. It was also rather unpleasant to wear these clothes. I didn't want any re-takes. But the beard was OK, it was room enough to play the harp.
