Hey folks,

I'm glad to see that the blues is alive and well in Canada. I really enjoyed the vids of Bharath, and I intend to make it out to Montreal sometime.

I'd like to share videos of a recent show I attended at The Rex in Toronto. It is of a local band "Dr. Nick & The Rollercoasters" as far as I've been able to tell, they've only got two gigs per month @ the rex.

It was my first time attending and I was pleasently surprised! It was a great show. A lot of great covers from the likes of Slim Harpo and John Lee Williamson.

I'll post a video of my favorite tune of the evening and a link to the playlist so you can check our the rest of the vids.

Enjoy!

Oh, and sorry about the videos all shaky-like and what not. It was on my phone, which was rested on my knee, and I was trying to do other things. Y'know how it is.

Pete Schmidt on guitar, Bob Vespaziani on drums. Dennis Pinhorn on standup. Nick is playing through a Masco and his own cab. Although Nick's band plays only 2x a month at the Rex, all the guys play regularly in other bands. BTW, Bharath has played in Toronto "often" and indeed at the Rex. Check out Raoul and the Big Time or Mike "Shrimp Daddy" Reid who also appear at the Rex and who are buds with Bharath. Toronto Blues Society Blues Summit is in January as well.

@Rob,
Thanks for that, didn't know the drummers name. I'll definitely check out the other guys.

@Johnnie,
It's recorded on an iPhone 4 (720p Video at 30 FPS).
