I couldn't find the thread where we were discussing the proper volume pot for the 99B86 element in my bues Blaster so I give thanks in this thread. I took your advice and installed a B250K linear pot. I orderd it from ebay and it said 24mm shaft but that was overall length. I took my hacksaw and carefully cut down the whatever you call it leaving half of it for the cable connector and removing the rest. This allowed me to install the pot with the short shaft. The body is alluminum so I filed the hacksaw marks and it looks fine but most importantly it works great now. Thank you for the direction!

LiL' Rip ,. Well done !! just goes to show ,..more than one way to skin that cat,.. I see your still using the XLR connector with the CM ,. that XLR on the BB's are just press fitted in,.
I would pull (twist) that XLR out,.cut the rest of the "conning tower" off & instll a 5/8" Switchcraft Connector 2501MP in place ,..the 2501 will bolt in place ,.just make sure you use the ground lug that comes with it,.. I have them if ya need one<. ---------- Simply Unique Kustom Mic's By Rharley
