Thanks to all your great suggestions I made some great progress, even though practice time was limited! I also see where I can keep working but I won't have much time until the holidays. Glad to say I no longer have the 'beginner blues'.
I started tongue-blocking last monday, here are the results: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46635733@N07/5238985899/
And my playing from a month ago: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46635733@N07/5124110827/
Any impressions or suggestions for the newest vid are welcome. I have been trying to bend while TBing, so far I can only bend clumsily when I am blocking holes to the right. No luck for the left. Are there any techniques for it?

Those bends and tongue slaps are starting to come out nice! Tongue blocked bends are hard...I should know, I'm trying to work on them right now.
We'll jam a bit in january. We can show each other some stuff. ---------- Heart2Harp

Sounding better man, good progress.
Bending while tongue blocking is tricky when you're used to pucker I've gotten okay at it but I still bend much better pucker. All I know is you gotta work at it plenty, force yourself to do everything tongue blocked often. You gotta get used to lowering different parts of your tongue while the tip lays on the harp. Go back to when you first learned bends, think your notes lower, hear the sounds in your head. Do the bend pucker then quickly switch back to tongue blocked and do it the same way. My tongue blocked blow bends are getting there but they're rough. And don't get me started on overblows but I think they will follow once I get the blow bends down.
I've been playing only two years and the best suggestion I can think to give anyone is to keep trying & practicing. Every now and then I feel like giving up but I listen to players I love and get motivated to keep at it and even snail-slow progression is progression :) and sometimes the effects of your efforts all of a sudden pop in place one day.

Mathieu - sounds good!! Deak - I'm fairly satisfied with the technique (only been at it for a week), so for now all it needs is more woodshedding.
