Just picked up an 80's Rivera era Fender Concert 2-10 in good shape for a great price ($330). It's a very well made point to point hand wired amp - Fenders last production amp of that kind. Not a great harp amp as is - but a good guitar amp for when the blackface deluxe goes down or two people need a guitar amp in the studio.

The speakers in it are heavy as lead. Anyone know what they are?

They look like the EV Force 10 with the badge off.

You are right 7Limit, - thanks

These are 'not the original speaker. My other, identical concert has the stock speakers, and weighs about half what this amp weighs, I kid you not.

These speakers make the stock ones sound weak and farty by comparison. Ballsy, - they make the amp sound like 100 watts are moving through it instead of 50- and just make a good amp excellent.

I spent the night playing harp through the double dirty channel (two pre-amp gain stages) - at a low volume with a little reverb, - and had a lot of fun. I tend to play through smaller, power tube distortion amps -cathode biased Valcos, or my own diy lone wolf harp amp - and have been prejudiced against pre amp gain stage distortion - but hey - you get the compression and 'singing' quality at low volume, though the tone is not quite as sweet - and sounds a little 'forced'. With guitar, the clean channel is killer potent and very responsive to pick attach and touch.

This amp came with a slightly funny story - Previously owned by Al Stewart of "Year of the Cat" fame - who had 'upgraded" the amp. The seller was good friends of a girl was 'going' with Stewart for a long time. These EV's are the upgrade.
