[Editing this post to say that I went and checked, and the mid-bass cut is not part of the Kinder AFB+ pedal, so I was mistaken. I do have a 10-band EQ, and I find that reducing the 250-Hz frequency band often removes the inarticulate muddiness from some of my amps, which helps a lot, providing a more clear tonal quality that still has plenty of bass.]

I own this pedal, and in my experience it does exactly what it says on the box. Its purpose is to cut the mid-bass/lower-mid frequencies that can make a harmonica sound muddy in a band setting. By reducing those frequencies, the harp tends to sit in the mix more clearly without losing its overall character.
The pedal is very simple to use—there's just one control that lets you decide how much of those frequencies you want to cut. That's really all it does, but it does it well.
You could probably achieve a similar result with an EQ pedal by cutting the appropriate frequency range, but the advantage of this pedal is that it provides a quick and straightforward way to dial in that specific tonal adjustment.
