I'm from Sydney, Australia and am really enjoying reading through the forum so I thought I would share a little something with you all.
This is a video of me sitting with a band called the Continental Blues Trio. Robert Susz is the band leader, well respected Harmonica Player and good mate.
I'm consistently trying to improve my game so youre feedback good or bad is always welcomed.
Sweet ! It was worth the 3 1/2 min wait to hear YOU play, sounded nice. kudos Steve ---------- Various Musical ramblings http://www.youtube.com/user/sjeter61?feature=mhum
@Steve - Thank you for your kind words dude. I'm glad it was worth the wait :)
@S.R.D - I'm planning on going down to the Blues Jam this Sunday dude so i'll be sure to send Frank your regards.
@3 cav. - You would be correct sir. There is a chromatic movement from the 4 blow to the 6OB. I'm still working on trying to be proficient enough to use them in a good musical context as opposed to just for the sake of it.
@Rubes - CORRECT! It's a B-Radical in C. I also have another in A and 3 more keys soon to be shipped from the states
So uh, playing harp with large snouted woolly critters on your head appears to get the babes dancing on the tables.(?) Okay....may have to re-evaluate my head gear selection. I like the way you roll lad!
@Moose - I like the way you roll to my way of rolling sir!
Ya know, playing harp as mediocre as I do needs to at least be balanced out with dancing table babes. Thats my mission and hopefully the one important contribution I can make to the Harmonica world..... Bringing in the babes.
Agreed SRD. I got there just before 6 and the music kept pumping till after 11. Three fiddle players, geetars, honky tonky piano, tambourines, drums, bass, bongoes. It went OFF in a big way. Good times...
Good piece of music and very "laid back" feeling...When I'll see you next week I can show you few things if you want to....Nice playing anyway may be you could add a bit more "madness" in it, what do you think?
---------- Never try to be as good as someone else, succeed to be the best player you can be!
Hey Ray great to see you down there on sunday. Some sweet sweet playing was on the run that night. @Drew and BronzeWailer-did you guys get up and play?If not why? Next time come and see me,I run the jam with Frank.I sort all the harp players out. Soon come a treat fellow Sydney siders at the Underground City Blues Jam,stay tuned. She will blow ya socks of. Here's a clip of me with some fellow jamers.
@Gray. I did play a few tunes. My real life name is boring old Eric. Many thanks for making sure everyone gets a go. I agree there was some sweet playing on Sunday. Cheers
Hey Eric.Doh.Eric aint boring my man.We gots to get you more time next jam. @3 cav 84a thanx man.I agree,I like to get my 10 cents worth out of my 10 holes.Hope for you to stop by the jam one day.
@BB. Nice song. Excellent audience reaction. @Gray. I missed that jam. Darn. I second 3c8's comments. Like the way you use the whole harp. Something to aspire to.
@Christelle - Im all up for some madness! Youre more than welcome to show me some mad licks over several cups of coffee and cigarettes.
@Gray - was great to meet you too dude! The jam was much fun but I could barely hear myself. Playing through the PA was loud enough that harp was cutting through the mix no problems but the amp just wasnt getting enough headroom and i was liking the tone.
All the more reason for me to buy a HG50 and AFB+ pedal me thinks :D
