I can only say what I think of the mic,, and I really like it. I have not played the bullet mics, but ths mic gives a tone that I like. I puts some cajones in the tone,, without it being distorted . I am playing it thru a 15 watt Bass amp. Like I said my experience is very limited,,, but I dont think I will be wanting any other mic ,, for a good while at least
Best 45. bucks Ive spent on musical stuff in a long time.

Ah, so that's what you went with. Cool. It's a decent mic, especially for the price. You've seen all that's available should you want to spend more, but you'll get some good use out of that mic. You can now experiment with your cupping-getting it tight, and trying finger lifting and fluttering a hand for effect. Enjoy! Post a vid if you can.

I've just bought a bottle o blues, had it for a week, I use it with a vox mini3 amp which I've also just got. It's my first amp/mic set up so no real experience or prior knowledge but I'm certainly enjoying it.

I like the sound I'm getting, the mic looks funky too and it's incredibly light which makes it easy to hold. Very good price and quick service to the UK so I'm pretty happy.

It's so funny, every time I've gigged with my 'bottle o blues' mic I get curious looks and questions between sets. Usually it's either "what the hell is that?...a pepper shaker" or "it looks like you're playing through a homemade pot pipe!" hilarious! It's a great mic and the volume control is great. Sounds good with many different amps. It's really dirty!
