I made a deal with Kevin Baker (chromaticblues) to work on three harps for me: a Suzuki Promaster (A), a Seydel Blues Session (C), and a MB Crossover (G). He did everything as promised with a quick turnaround. He didn't cash my check until the work was complete. I'll be a repeat customer.
Since I am a newbie, I'm not an expert in reviewing harps, but I am pleased with the improvements to the harps. The Crossover is especially sweet! The bends are all there. I have to work on my breath control because I've never played a harp so responsive. I have never played a custom harp, so I can't make a comparison, but all three harps are better than anything out of the box.
Good work, Kevin.

@chromaticblues , I know this doesnt really fit this thread but I know you are in RI as well and I think there are a couple other guys on here too that are. Do you know of any local harmonica clubs, open mics, blues clubs, around? just something that might be able to get a bunch of us out of the house once a week, once a month , whatever...

I've tried and have found nothing even close to being good! The best one in soyhern RI is the Oak Hill Tavern. It is very laid back. Acoustic folk/singer song writer stuff. Its in North Kingstown. If you live anywhere close to that I'll go. I know Rift lives in Cumberlin which is long ride. I think 6sn7 is from RI also. Yeah if anybody wants to do that or if anyone knows of one that is a little more blues based I'd be up for that too.

The only place I know of in the Northern part of the state is Chans in Woonsocket. Never been there but they look like they have some good acts. ChansJazzAndBluesClub Not sure how blues and chinese mix but I will try anything once. Looks like its a seperate club from the restaurant and they have open mic nights as well. I am down in the southern part of the state with inlaws often so I don't mind the drive. I will keep an eye out for any new shows or clubs that I notice.

@chromaticblues do you think a new thread should be started so it is noticed easier? Maybe RI in the subject somewhere. Let me know what you think. You are better at these posts than I am.
