I'm getting these mics in a couple of days as a gift and was wondering if someone can tell me something more about their use as amplified harp mics. I found many positive reviews about shure 565 but nothing about the pg57.

These are both current production mics. I have never tried either of them as harp mics. The PG57 is a cheaper version of the venerable SM57. Is it the best mic in that price range? No idea - there certainly are others, but Shure makes very good stuff.

The most important thing about the 565 is that it can be configured as a high impedance mic while its much more popular cousin the SM58 only comes low impedance from Shure (I offer the Ultimate 58 in both configurations.)

The ONLY THING that matters is how YOU like the sound.
