Well this tyme I'm lookin' for some direction. I know this is really an advanced song, but I love it & am tryin to get it down. Im gettin there. Trouble is.. Im a complete beginner and was wondering how I can get past the solo in the middle. Ive posted a link so you all can hear what Im talking about. The part starts at 1:25 and ends at 1:30.Any help on gettin this down would be great,Thanks in advance....

Try junior wells version of this tune. It's a lot easier than sonny's.

SBW does that tune in F using a Bb harp in second position. Junior does it in A using a D harp in second position.

Yeah, that's the really tough part of that song. Glenn Weiser published a transcription book with this song and other classic chicago tunes accurately tabbed out.

I just looked all over the internet and can't find it. It must be out of print.

Bb harp. Key of F. The part you're interested in is just 2 measures.

Wow..now that is cool..thanks Jay. The bad thing is,I live in the Catskills (Hudson,N.Y. across from the town of Catskill) and theres no one that teaches harmonica. Ive found one on the north side of Albany but cant get there (No car) :( And that seems to be the only one around. And boy,I could sure use a lesson or 3. But anyway.. again, thank you all.

P.S. ... Ive only been playing for a bit less then 3 months (just sayin')

"Whenever I thought about it there was no Sonny Boy tape around and when there was, Sonny played it too fast."

Input it into Audacity or Media Player and slow it down.

Man..you guys are such a big help. Thank you, thank you, thank you. As for buying some of Adam's lessons.. well sadly,Im out of work atm and cant buy :( & I sooo want to too. I really like the way he teaches.. so laid back & down to earth, makes it easy to connect to him. @ gmacleod15 : I kinda have the song pretty good...its really just the part Ive mentioned & a little here & there.I went in to learning the harp with the mind set of thinking I want to get my technique down first & then memorize songs. Im now thinking its tyme to learn tongue blocking, seems a bit hard for me right now,but it'll come,I practice every day. also cross harp seems a bit hard to understand, but that'll come to ;) And with all you great people here & the help you all give,Im sure I'll be @ the advanced player stage in no time. Again, thank you all. And thank you Adam for all you've done for us new players.. truly a God send :)
