Hi Guys, I would like to share with you some of my good news. Yesterday, I took part in annual harmonica competition in Bristol (UK) with some god results. In Jazz, which is the most prestigios category I took 1st prize. This is especially difficult because this category is mixed, any type of harmonica is allowed and I had to compete against chromatic players. BTW, I play only diatonic. I am the only one diatonic playaer who ever won this contest. For some reason my style does not resonate with jury in other styles and results were slightly more modest. I took 3rd place in blues, 3rd in melodic and in duet we came 2nd (I played with LeViTan). My style resembles Jason Ricci, Little Joh Christley, I use overblows a lot and utilize Chris Michalek vibrato quite a bit. Anyway, I am happy with the results
The only footage this year will be of the Saturday Concert filmed exclusively by our own Oxharp, and believe you me its going to be worth watching and listening!
Nice to meet you at the Saturday jam Leonid, (who is from St Petersburg) and very well done in the competition
