I don't assume that my NOLA friends will drive all the way up and get drunk in an Oxford bar, just for the sake of hearing some nasty live harmonica blues on the weekend when Ole Miss is playing #1 Auburn and the Grove will be craaaaaaaaaaaaaazy (and free, of course, and happy to see N'awlins folk on a weekend when 'Bama is the enemy).

Then again, I've learned never to make assumptions about harmonica players from the Crescent City. So come on, y'all.

I'm playing a solo set at Red House, a bar just off the Square, starting at 10 PM. Andrew "Shine" Turner, Ike's nephew, will be joining me on the second set. No cover.

Friday, October 29th. 10 PM - 1 AM

I'd love to be there but finances being what they are I guess I'll just have to watch the Youtube vids of it. GO AUBURN. (sorry 'bout that but I really like Cam Newton)

I'll share this with our mailing list, Adam. I have two gigs this weekend, so I definitely won't be able to make it. You'll know if NOLA folks are there;they'll be donning puple and gold LSU attire, just to piss off the Auburnites.
