I am looking at natural minor harps, Seydel and LO each have them listed in second position (the A minor, for example, plays 2nd position on an A minor tune) I notice that the Hohner Marine Band also is available in minor keys, does anyone know how they label their harps? Actual key or 2nd position? Thanks. BTW: I don't find any Suzukis in minor keys.

LO is the only one that marks theirs in cross position as every one else marks theirs in 1st position. Suzuki doesn`t make any in minor keys. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

They didn't always mark the Lee Oscars in second position. I bought a C minor back in about 1987 and it is marked for first position. It got confusing when I later ordered an A and a D. (By the way, all three of those harps are still going strong after all these years with nary a problem.} ----------

According to their website, Seydel marks the harps according to the second hole draw, 2nd position. They don't mark them minor either, it'll just say A. So, if I am reading this correctly, if I want to play in second position to a song in Am, I'll need a LO in Am or a Seydel natural minor in A and a Hohner MB in Dm.
Speaking of Seydel, they sell 2 harps in minor keys, the Blues Session and the Blues Favorite. The Sessions has a plastic comb, the Favorite uses an aluminum comb and different coverplates. Reedplates the same? Not clear on the site.
